APPLE BROWNIES
Cream: 2 sticks melted margarine
Add: 2 cups flower
Add: 6 chopped medium apples and nuts
Bake in a 13 x 9 pan for 50 to 60 minutes at 350.
APPLE CRISP
6 tart apples - peeled
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/3 cup melted margarine
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions: Slice apples into buttered pie pan. Mix in 1/4 cup sugar. Mix remaining sugar, baking powder, flour, salt and egg with fork until crumbly and sprinkle over apples. Mix melted margarine and cinnamon and pour over apples. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, or until apples are soft. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
BAKED APPLES
4 Apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 cup corn syrup
Directions: Preheat oven to 350°. Remove the apple core from the top of the apple leaving a "well" at the bottom. DO NOT CUT ALL THE WAY THRU. Peel the apple about 1/3 the way down from the top of the apple. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, butter and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Fill apples with mix. Put apples in a shallow baking dish and pur corn syrup over them. Sprinkle apples with remaining cinnamon. Bake for approximately 15 minutes, until apples are tender and sugar begins to caramelize.
